How does the admission process work?

There are no entrance exams. Admission is based on your final diploma grade. We create a ranking list and admit candidates with the highest scores.

How is the result calculated?

Your candidate score score (CS) is calculated using the formula:
CS = 3 × D + O where:

  • CS — candidate’s score,
  • D — final grade from studies in Computer Science or Technical Computer Science and Telecommunications (D = 0 if your previous degree is in another field)
  • O – final grade from studies in other fields

Applicants should have English language skills at least at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Admission is carried out for the summer semester.

We do not set minimum point thresholds for any field of study at the University of Silesia.

Committees create ranking lists during the admission process. Admission thresholds vary every year, as they depend on the number of candidates, their grades, and the applicable qualification rules.

Applicants should have English language skills at least at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The fee for participating in the recruitment process for the 2nd cycle degree programme in Computer Science is PLN 85.
