Description
Law is a field of study that combines prestige, responsibility, and intellectual challenge. It teaches not only regulations but, above all, thinking – analytical, strategic, and based on values. During your studies, you will gain in-depth legal knowledge and practical competencies that will allow you to:
- begin a legal internship (e.g. for the bar or a notarial one),
- co-create the justice system and public administration,
- work in business, the financial sector, and international structures,
- develop an academic career at a doctoral school,
- build your own brand and run a business activity.
The study programme has been updated and is effective in its new formula from the 2025/2026 academic year. It covers all key areas of law while simultaneously allowing for the gradual profiling of your own development path. Its structure distinguishes three main areas of education:
- civil,
- criminal,
- related to legal services for business and the economy.
Great emphasis has also been placed on public law and the functioning of state and local government institutions.
Thanks to an extensive system of facultative courses, you can develop interests in chosen fields of law and tailor your studies to your career plans. The programme also includes classes in foreign languages and modules developing digital and analytical competences, including those related to new technologies in law.
What will you learn?
- You will get to know Polish law, European Union law, and the foundations of international law,
- you will learn to understand and interpret legal regulations,
- you will develop the skill of logical and critical thinking,
- you will learn to analyse court judgments and build your own arguments,
- you will gain competencies allowing you to assess legal risks and make informed decisions.
Theory and practice
We focus on combining reliable legal knowledge with real experience. Already during your studies, you can develop your interests in student research groups, get involved in the activities of the Student Legal Clinic, and gain experience during a professional student internship.
We create space for contact with legal practice through:
- study visits to courts, the prosecutor’s office, and public institutions,
- meetings with representatives of legal professions,
- workshops developing competencies needed for future work.
You also develop skills in argumentation, negotiation, project work, and public speaking. You can participate in international projects and foreign exchanges, and complete your studies in an environment that fosters cooperation and initiative.
Organisation of classes
Full-time studies
Classes in full-time studies are held from Monday to Thursday, giving you the space to gain professional experience, participate in internships, get involved in student research groups, or take up employment while still studying.
Part-time studies
In part-time studies, you can choose one of two class groups:
- the Friday group – classes are held every Friday,
- the Saturday-Sunday group – classes usually take place during two weekends a month.
You choose the group yourself and have the possibility to change it during your studies. This arrangement makes it easier to combine studies with professional work, internship, and other activities.
